Billy founded and led a nationally recognized health policy consulting firm in Washington, D.C., building a high-performing team, developing innovative products and partnerships, and ultimately transitioning leadership to a CEO he recruited. After several years of continued growth under her leadership, Billy successfully stepped back from day-to-day operations.

Billy is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, a student in the Institute of Buddhist Studies master’s program in Buddhist Studies, and a long-time Zen Buddhist practitioner in the Soto tradition. He is a board member of the Zen Center of Denver, where he teaches classes and co-leads retreats.
He is a founding board member and practice leader at Roaring Fork Zen, where he helps facilitate meditation and community practice. His contemplative training informs the grounded, steady presence he brings into consulting, board service, and leadership advising.
